APPA 1.0 - Adding Workdays

There are few ways to add a workday entry to Personal Pay Advice 1.0, you can click on the icon on the top of the main window or, select New option from Data menu, or just press key combination Ctrl+Ins from your keyboard. No matter which way you use to add a new working day, a dialog box will be displayed for you to add necessary information for a new workday entry.

First is the Date must be provided to save the data, when dialog box above displayed, current date will automatically be selected.
Next select duty name from Duty dropdown list. (Personal Pay Advice 1.0 comes with some pre-loaded duties, but if the duty is not on the dropdown list, select Add New... option from the list.
If you started the duty early, you have to enter the starting time of the day in Pre-shift section, program will automatically calculate the difference between pre-shift end time and duty start time. Same thing applies to (Post-shift) times also. If you worked after your duty time ended you can enter actual ending time of the day in Post-shift section. Personal Pay Advice 1.0, will do the rest for you.

Here is sample window after few entries made

On the right side of the window there are some options for you to check if,
  • this is your RDO (Rostered Day Off) or
  • this is a public holiday or
  • were ill so couldn't perform your duties and provided a doctor certificate or
  • on annual leave (last two options included, just in case you have to work on your holiday..!)

The last option Commenced is dimmed (disabled), and it will be highlighted (enabled) to check or uncheck depending on the above options.

e.g. If you worked on your RDO, check the RDO box and check the Commenced box, if you do not perform these checks, Personal Pay Advice 1.0 might perform wrong calculation on the day's income.
